Exhibition

The Adelaide Salon in conjunction with curators Bill Redshaw and Ben Coleman presents exhibition:  ‘WEDDING CRASHERS’

‘Wedding Crashers’ will showcase the work of a group of emerging contemporary artists within an ornately decorated Georgian regency home —a space reminiscent of a wedding cake’s elaborate frosting —the setting of The Adelaide Salon.

The artists will present their work amongst covered monuments composed from the furniture inhabiting the space.

These monuments will act as vessels, presenting individual ‘wonder-rooms and spaces’ that offer a glimpse into the artist’s psyche and process.

We are open to challenging ideas and innovative thinking on how the artists’ approach this.

Submission Guidelines

We welcome submissions from artists working across all visual disciplines, including, but not limited to painting, sculpture, installation, textiles, ceramics, photography, video, and mixed media.

Selected artists will be invited to integrate their practice within this unconventional display format.

3 attached examples of furniture available for presentation are shown below.

To apply: please submit the following:

  • A short proposal of what you wish to present.
